Keely Propp

Head of Story

Keely Propp joined Sony Pictures Animation in 2023 as the head of story for the upcoming original animated sports comedy “GOAT” from producer Stephen Curry's Unanimous Media. In her role, she leads a team of storyboard artists to develop each sequence of the movie and works with the directors, writers, producers, and editors to form the film’s story as a whole.

With a decade of experience as a story artist, Propp has worked with companies such as DreamWorks Animation, Netflix, Cinesite, and Bron Animation. Her credits include “Trolls Band Together,” “Guillermo Del Toro's Pinocchio,” “The Addams Family,” and “The Willoughbys.”

Propp knew she wanted to have a career as an artist ever since she watched the first episode of “Sailor Moon” when she was just five years old. Born in Bloomington, Minnesota, she attended an arts-focused high school and went on to study animation at  Sheridan College in Canada.

In 2019, Propp was selected as one of Variety Magazine's Top 10 Animators to Watch.

She currently resides in Los Angeles with her husband and their two cats, Tuff Puff and Fuzzy.
