
PATRICK O’KEEFE
Production Designer
Patrick O'Keefe is a production designer at Sony Pictures Animation, currently working on the highly-anticipated conclusion to the studio's groundbreaking Spider-Verse trilogy, “Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse.”
O’Keefe has been a member of the Spider-Verse creative team from the beginning, serving as art director on the 2018 Oscar®-winning “Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse.” He then went on to lead the art department as the production designer on "Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse” in 2023. Alongside art director Dean Gordon, O’Keefe was recognized by the Art Directors Guild for Outstanding Production Design in an Animated Feature Film, and by ASIFA-Hollywood with an Annie Award for Best Production Design.
O’Keefe joined Sony Pictures Animation as a visual development artist on “Hotel Transylvania 3: Summer Vacation.” Previously, he worked on a variety of films, video games, commercials, and television shows. He served as a visual development artist and matte painter on commercials for brands like McDonald's, Kellogg, Kraft, Amazon, and more. He also worked as a background painter on Disney Television Animation's “Big Hero 6: The Series.”
O’Keefe has worked on award-winning virtual reality short films such as “Henry,” which won an Emmy Award for Outstanding Original Interactive Program in 2016, and “Invasion!”, which took home a Daytime Emmy in 2017. He has also served as a production designer for short films “Fragile” and “Ashes Fall.”
His additional credits include serving as a concept artist for Electronic Arts video games such as Battlefield 4, Battlefield Hardline, Dead Space 2, and Dead Space 3.
O’Keefe studied illustration at Sheridan College before transferring to the Emily Carr University of Art and Design where he received his Bachelor of Media Arts in Film and Animation design.
