John Clark

John Clark is a head of layout at Sony Pictures Animation, currently working on the upcoming original animated sports comedy “GOAT” from producer Stephen Curry's Unanimous Media.

Clark has been working in film and television for over three decades, starting his career in live action before making the shift to animation.

In 2005, Clark joined Sony Pictures Imageworks as a member of the layout department serving on a variety of Sony Pictures Animation titles, his first credit being an animation lead on the Academy Award®-nominated “Surf’s Up.” For his work on the film, he received an Annie Award from ASIFA-Hollywood for Best Animation Production Artist. He went on to work as a head of layout and layout supervisor on films such as “Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs,” “Hotel Transylvania,” “The Smurfs,” “The Smurfs 2,” and “Edge of Tomorrow.”

His additional credits include “Rock Dog,” “Arcane,” “The Spongebob Movie: Sponge on the Run,” “Luck” and “In Your Dreams.”

Clark was born in Okinawa, Japan and raised in the U.S. and U.K. He currently resides in Florida, where he grew up, with his family including his father, wife, daughter, and their dog Duckie. Clark is a graduate of the University of Central Florida with a degree in History.
