Sony Pictures Animation
As President of Sony Pictures Animation, Kristine Belson is responsible for spearheading the studio’s strategy and growth as well as overseeing the development and production of all theatrical, serialized and short form content on the Sony Pictures Animation slate. The studio is following its worldwide comedy hits—the record-breaking monster comedies Hotel Transylvania and Hotel Transylvania 2, the hybrid live action/animated blockbuster The Smurfs, and the mouth-watering Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs movies—with Genndy Tartakovsky's Hotel Transylvania 3: Summer Vacation in theaters now; Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse from the minds of directors Chris Miller and Phil Lord in December; and the animated musical Vivo, featuring original songs by Lin-Manuel Miranda, in 2020.
Kristine joined Sony Pictures Animation in 2015 after spending nearly a decade at DreamWorks Animation, where she produced The Croods, which has grossed over $587 million at the worldwide box-office and for which she was nominated for an Academy Award® for Best Animated Feature. Prior to The Croods, Kristine served as Executive Producer of the Academy Award®-nominated film, How to Train Your Dragon.
Kristine came to DreamWorks Animation with more than 15 years' experience developing and producing live-action and animated films for the Jim Henson Company, Columbia Pictures, Turner Pictures, and 20th Century Fox.
