Two-time Emmy ® Award winner Andy Bialk is currently serving as Character Designer/Visual Development Artist on Sony Pictures Animation's upcoming Spider-Man™: Into the Spider-Verse, which is slated for theatrical release in December 2018.
Previously, he served as a character designer on Sony Pictures Animation's The Emoji Movie, now on Digital, 4K Ultra HD™, Blu-ray™, and DVD.
A 20-year veteran in the animation industry, Andy's designs can be seen in many feature films including Paramount Animation's The SpongeBob Movie, Reel FX's The Book Of Life, Warner Bros.' The Lego Movie, as well as DreamWorks Animation's Madagascar 2, How To Train Your Dragon, Shrek Forever After, and MegaMind.
Andy also served as Art Director on the Shimmer & Shine cartoon for Nick Jr. His television career has earned him two Emmy Awards and four Annie Award nominations to date; highlights include Dragons: Riders of Berk, The Ricky Gervais Cartoon, Star Wars: Clone Wars, Foster's Home For Imaginary Friends, Samurai Jack, The Powerpuff Girls and Dexter's Laboratory.
Andy has given lectures over the years at DreamWorks, Cal Arts, Concept Design Academy in Pasadena and Loyola Marymount University where he earned a BA in Studio Arts.
